Dawn Kramer (BF '10) - Video Exhibitions & 2014 Dance Champion Award
Fall 2013: "Woman in White," seven short videos from Europe were shown at the Paine Gallery at MassArt. These are site-specific performance videos made in Ireland, France, and Sicily. Laura Harrison stopped by to see them while at the Transcultural Exchange conference in Boston. Spring 2014: a forty-year retrospective of video documentation of live choreography as well as work made for video was shown in the Godine Gallery in conjunction with a "Movin'On" party as I transitioned to a Professor Emerita role at MassArt. Boston Dance Alliance honored my former company, Dance Collective, with the 2014 Dance Champion Award, honoring the contribution the company made to dance performance, education, and outreach over thirty years.
