Lewis Spratlan (BF '13) - Residency; CD release; Horn Quartet
During the period April 26-29, Lewis Spratlan (BF '13) was in residence at Columbus State University (GA), where his orchestra piece A SUMMER'S DAY was performed. He attended rehearsals, met with composition students, and gave a brief lecture to visiting student members of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. His CD "Apollo and Daphne Variations" (BMOP/Sound) was released in May. His Horn Quartet, honoring the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre, will be performed at the Mohawk Trail Concerts on June 27 and 28.
